The facility has three ranges. Range A is located on the 100 yd range, Range B is the 200 yd. range and Range C is the new Handgun only range.
This range is open to all current SSA members. Members may have a guest at the range. Guest rate $10 payable to treasurer.
Range Pass cards must be visible at all times while on range property.
Range Gate Must be kept closed and locked while on site and when leaving.
Range Officer (RO)
The acting RO has complete authority on the range property including shooting and non shooting disaplines and may have members or guests removed at his or her discretion.
Log Book
All in attendance at the range must fill in the log book before proceeding and when leaving.
Shooting Times
No Firing Before 8:00 AM and after sunset in winter months Oct.1 – March.31
No Firing Before 7:00 AM and after 7:00 Pm summer months April.1 – Sept 30
Range A
- Distances from 45yds to 100yds
- Number of Benches 6
- Approved firearms: Rimfire and Centerfire Rifles.
- Maximum Approved Calibers: 338 Lupua Magnum
- Approved Targets: Paper targets (placed at backstops only)
- Approved Ammunition: FMJ, SP,and lead.
- *Defender shotgun approved for Patterns only on Paper targets Slug only.
- No Handguns on rifle ranges
- Clips may hold only 5 cartridges at any time
Range B
- Distance 200yd only
- Approved Firearms Rimfire and Centerfire Rifle only, No Shotguns
- No of Benches 2
- Approved Calibers: Maximum 308 Winchester
- Approved Targets: Paper targets (placed at backstops only)
- Approved Ammunition: FMJ, SP, and Lead.
- Clips may hold only 5 cartridges at any time.
Range C
- Handgun range: 20-25 yds. No Shotguns
- Clips may only hold 10 cartridges at any time
- Paper targets only, fastened to plywood frames
Garbage:
All cartridges, paper targets and other personal garbage must be picked up and disposed of at your address not left on site for another member to clean up.
***Any non compliance of the rules will result in termination of membership and names forwarded to Firearms Officers office.
Hours
Out door range is open from 7:00 am till 7:00pm in the summer months May till end of Aug.
Dawn till dusk Sept till End of April.
The range is located on Wild Horse Rd. Summerland.

Other
The SSA has an annual Range Pass Fee fee of $75 for single shooter & $100 for family with 2 adult shooters. To be obtained at one of the regular scheduled meetings of the club.
These passes are only available to SSA members that are paid up and in good standing. Membership cards must be shown when purchasing a range pass.
Guests of members that use the range without an annual pass will be required to pay a $10.00 user fee per use payable at reg. meetings.
Locks will be changed Jan 01 of each calendar year.
